MBE-Experience since 1990
The renowned scientist Dr. Karl Eberl founded Dr. Eberl MBE-Komponenten GmbH in November 1990 as a spin-off from the Technische Universität München, Walter-Schottky-Institute, Garching. The first products were Silicon Sublimation Sources, Carbon Sublimation Sources and High Temperature Sources for Molecular Beam Epitaxy.
Dr. Karl Eberl also supervised the MBE division at the Max Planck Institute Stuttgart and has more than 15 years of active research experience resulting in an output of more than 300 publications in the field of SiGe and III-V compound MBE.

Dr. Eberl MBE-Komponenten GmbH is an independent, family-run enterprise, focusing on long-term partnership, constant development and stability. We are specialized in customized products. Because of many years of experience in MBE technology and UHV construction, we are able to build individually designed products, which meet our customers’ needs.
Dr. Eberl MBE-Komponenten GmbH manufactures and sells thin film deposition equipment for MBE, surface science and other UHV applications. The product range includes evaporation sources, effusion cells, electron beam evaporators, sublimation sources, gas sources and various equipment tailored to meet our customers’ needs. For about 30 years Dr. Eberl MBE-Komponenten GmbH has delivered more than 4000 effusion cells and evaporation sources of various kinds as well as systems and services to more than 2000customers worldwide.

Location
Our headquarters is located in Weil der Stadt, Germany, the birthplace of the famous astronomer Johannes Kepler (1571-1630). The beautiful medieval town on the edge of the northern Black Forest near Stuttgart is a fantastic environment for our highly qualified team of specialists to design and manufacture the perfect products for your MBE / UHV applications.
How to reach us:
By train: You can easily reach us by public transportation. The Weil der Stadt S-Bahn stop, which is easily accessible from the center of Stuttgart in about 40 minutes, is within walking distance of our company building.
By plane: The nearest airport is in Stuttgart. You can reach us by public transport within 50 minutes from Stuttgart airport and by car in about 30 minutes.
By car: Weil der Stadt is located directly on the B295 federal highway and is not far from the highway entrances Rutesheim, Leonberg-West and Heimsheim on the A8 as well as the Böblingen-Hulb entrance on the A81. The nearest larger towns are Sindelfingen, Böblingen, Leonberg (each approx. 15 minutes away) and Stuttgart (approx. 30 minutes away).
